Description
Vintage large rustic industrial style round iron tray from India. Hand-formed from heavy-gauge iron, its broad, shallow basin is encircled by a riveted rim and fitted with forged ring handles. Originally used in rural kitchens and ceremonial settings, where such trays were used for preparing and serving large quantities of food, kneading dough, or even as communal dining platters during gatherings. Rich patina with signs of age and use. Today it reads as a sculptural statement piece and can function as a low table centerpiece, a fruit or bread display, or left unadorned to showcase its raw material beauty and storied past.
