Description
Antique Mongolian double doors handcrafted from thick old-growth pine. Features hand-forged iron strap hinges, original pierced backplates, and traditional ring pull handles with a beautifully timeworn oxidized patina. The tall vertical plank construction and exposed ironwork reflect the rugged architectural character of historic nomadic and rural Mongolian structures, where functional craftsmanship and durability were essential in harsh climates. Decades of natural weathering have produced a richly textured surface with softened grain, mineral staining, shrinkage cracks, and tonal variation ranging from warm umber to silvery gray, giving the doors an exceptional sense of age and authenticity. These substantial doors make a striking architectural statement whether installed functionally as interior or exterior doors, used as sliding panels, or displayed as sculptural wall-mounted decorative pieces. Circa late 19th - early 20th century. Overall height measurement does NOT include 3" posts at top.
