Original vintage bronze court warrior figure from the Benin Kingdom, Nigeria. This original early 1960's piece depicts the features of a certain member of the Oba / king's ancestry. This piece was sculpted by hand, then cast in bronze by the traditional lost wax process. Exquisite details including a spotted leopard vest and weapon held in hand. Authentic signs of age in deep patina to be cherished.
