Striking vintage large Indian festival giraffe sculpture, hand-carved from wood and presented on a wheeled wooden platform. Figures of this scale were traditionally created for temple festivals, ceremonial processions, or traveling fairs, where they served as lively theatrical elements within public celebrations. Finished in hand-applied paint with a warm yellow ground, expressive black spotting, and bold red harness-like decoration, with a small green saddle detail along the back. Beautiful natural wear, rubbed edges, and areas of exposed wood lend the surface a richly authentic patina that reflects years of handling and movement.
